We are a small family of three plus one dog who enjoys spending time outside, getting our feet and hands dirty and living it up in our little world while planting gardens, experimenting in making home cooked meals from scratch and sitting down at the dinner table to hackle, giggle and chuckle as we continue on through this journey of life growing together. We are not shy in giving new things a try and we don’t always get it right the first time but, we are not the type to give up. I guess we are just a special kind of crazy.
We started Happy Camp Farms TX because we felt a need to get back to our roots of self-sustainability. I am a big fan of agriculture small or large production. I enjoy knowing where my food comes from and teaching our son that the milk he drinks comes from Holstein cattle and not from the grocery store.
The legacy of my family’s ancestry dates back to the 1800’s as they were brave enough to take the long journey from Poland to Yorktown, Texas all due to a priest in New Braunfels who wrote back home telling them about the land of freedom and opportunity. They came to farm and live off the land, and they were really good at it. Their headstones still remain and their legacy will live on. I just hope Happy Camp Farms, TX does their legacy and memory justice.
Thank you for joining us as we embark on this journey.
